Liatris spicata, commonly known as Gayfeather and Blazing Star is a garden must have. The varieties we carry, spicata Kobold (lavender/purple) and Alba (white), are amazing bee attractors and are favorites at Martin Garden Center. Liatris tend to flower in mid to late summer, thus providing a boost of color to a late summer garden. It is an herbaceous sun-loving perennial plant.
