Aloe

This is a big family with plants ranging from 6″ miniatures to trees. Aloe vera is the most popular and is sometimes used as a favorite “folk” medicine to treat a number of ills, including burns, bites, and inflammation. All plants in this family will have fleshy leaves that retain moisture. They can go for extremely long periods without water, but will also be very tolerant if you water often. Needs a location with moderate to bright light.
